In short
adrpass.eu has no accounts, no cookies, no advertising and no analytics tools. Fonts, images and scripts are stored on our own server, and nothing is loaded from third-party services. Your study progress is saved only in your browser.
Who is responsible
Paweł Kandybowicz, Kandyb Studio, Żytnia 16, lok. 8, 01-014 Warszawa, Poland. Email: support@kandyb-studio.eu. You’ll find more details in the legal notice.
Which law applies
We are based in Poland, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to us. If you are in the UK, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 protect you as well. The articles we refer to below have the same numbers in the GDPR and the UK GDPR.
When you visit the website
When you open a page, your browser sends our server the data it technically needs: your IP address, the date and time, the address you requested, the amount of data transferred, the status code, the page you came from and your browser’s identifier. Without this data the server can’t deliver the page.
In the access log we only store your IP address in shortened form. For IPv4 the last block is dropped, for IPv6 everything after the first three blocks. After that, the address can no longer be traced to a connection. In individual cases the error log may contain the full IP address. We delete both logs automatically after 14 days, and we only look at them to spot faults and attacks.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is running the website securely and reliably.
Hosting
The website runs on a server of OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France, in a data centre in France. OVH processes the data listed above on our behalf under a data processing agreement in line with Art. 28 GDPR.
Your progress in the browser
The site stores your answers in the free test and the questions you save in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). This data is not sent to us, and we can neither see it nor restore it. You can delete it under ‘My progress’ with ‘Clear progress’, or in your browser settings. It isn’t a cookie, and no cookie is set.
We don’t need your consent for this, because storing the data is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for: a test that remembers your progress. In the UK this exemption is in paragraph 4 of Schedule A1 to the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR), and in the EU in Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC.
If you email us
If you send us an email, for example through ‘Report question’, we process your email address and the content of your message so we can reply and check the question. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the message once the matter is dealt with, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it.
Links to the App Store and Google Play
The store buttons are plain links. Only when you tap one does the Apple or Google page open, and from then on their privacy policies apply. Purchases are handled only by Apple or Google. The app has its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21). To use any of them, write to us at support@kandyb-studio.eu.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In the UK that’s the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), which you can reach through ico.org.uk. In the EU, the authority responsible for us is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in Poland (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa. If you live in another EU country, you can also go to the authority there.
Your right to object
We process the server logs and your emails on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21(1) GDPR). We will then stop processing the data unless we can show compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or we need the data to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. A short email to support@kandyb-studio.eu is enough.
Changes
If anything changes on the website that matters for data protection, we update this page and the date at the top.
